Silence and lots of space
Right in the midst of the fields, at the edge of Ypres Salient, lies Loobeek Farm.
A beautiful farm where you can enjoy and relax in its spacious and silent natural surroundings.
Loobeek Farm was the name given to this farm by the British soldiers during WW1.
Today, it is hard to imagine that this place was the setting for the fiercest battles during “ the First Battle of Ypres ".
Loobeek Farm is situated on the axis Ieperleekanaal – Langemark. In the swampy meadows surrounding the large pond, the Langemarck myth was born.
Only the pond and the bunkers in the environment remind us, as silent witnesses, of a violent past. Today, only silence remains.
This charming homestead was completely rebuilt.
